ZestyBeanz and SPACE Kerala has reached in an agreement with Kudumbashree Kerala for implementing OpenERP at their business units on a pilot basis.
Kudumbashree has about 20,000 business units across the state of which about 70 are IT units. All the units are independent and they perform various business activities with support from the Government through Kudumbashree head office in Thiruvananthapuram. The first phase of the project is to implement OpenERP at these IT units and later cover all other units. The pilot implementation has been commenced at major IT units in Thiruvananthapuram, Ernakulam and Kollam districts. ZestyBeanz is partnering with SPACE Kerala (Society for Promotion of Alternative Computing and Employment) for this project. SPACE is a registered society that has members from IT Administration of the Government of Kerala and its major objective is to promote the use of FOSS in the public, private, and governmental sectors as well as for personal/home use.
